REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
DRENEC is a 35.80-metre Explorer Motor Yacht built in 1964 in the Netherlands, and by the time she reached YEKE Marine's workshop the wheel house had fallen well behind the rest of the vessel: the furniture, console, wall and ceiling panels, wheel and windows all needed renewal rather than a partial patch. A wheel house on a yacht this age carries decades of small repairs layered on top of each other, and getting a consistent result meant treating the whole space as one job instead of fixing pieces in isolation.
YEKE Marine's team stripped the wheel house back and renewed the furniture, console, wall and ceiling panels together with the wheel and windows, working to match the fit and finish expected on a yacht of DRENEC's class rather than a generic repair standard.
The result is a wheel house rebuilt as a single coherent space, carried out at MMH Shipyard as part of DRENEC's 2024 repair and maintenance programme.
Furniture, console, wall and ceiling panels, the wheel and the windows were all renewed as one coordinated job rather than separate repairs.
