Challenge
An offshore drillship required workshop space, logistics, tooling and manpower support for her special periodical survey (SPS), a class-mandated inspection that a drillship has to pass at set intervals to keep operating. Coordinating an SPS is inherently a multi-party job: it draws on the drillship operator, equipment manufacturers and the yard or service provider handling the physical work, and gaps between any of them can hold up the survey and the vessel's return to service.
Approach
YEKE's Offshore Services division arranged the workshop and logistics together with the tools and manpower the survey required, working in coordination with NOV and MPS so that equipment-specific expertise and YEKE's own site support were aligned rather than running as separate, disconnected efforts.
Outcome
SPS support was delivered through this coordinated offshore logistics and maintenance effort, keeping the drillship's survey on track with workshop, tooling and manpower resources managed under one coordinated scope.
